Excess Share Insurance - www.excessshare.com

As a MCFCU member, you now get another exclusive benefit: the highest insurance coverage of deposits in the area!

Your deposits at MCFCU are insured to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund and up to an additional $250,000 by Excess Share Insurance, the highest combination of federal/private deposit insurance available.

For example, you can consolidate your money so that you individually have $350,000, your spouse has $350,000, and you can have a $350,000 IRA for a total of over $1 million share insurance coverage at MCFCU.

It's Automatic:
You don't need to do anything to activate these higher insurance amounts.

It's Reliable:
MCFCU has the highest possible rating for soundness and safety given by the NCUA, the organization that regulates credit union operations. ESI insurance is provided only to credit unions like MCFCU, meeting rigid underwriting criteria.

CUNA also works with related organizations to provide products and services to credit unions. CUNA Strategic Services, Inc. (CSSI) partners with league service corporations to offer products, services, and technology that credit unions need to compete in the modern financial market.

The funds deposited into Midwest Community Federal Credit Union are protected by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). NCUA is an agency of the federal government and routinely monitors the financial condition of the Credit Union. Currently, NCUA maintains the strongest depository fund available to consumers, the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund. This fund insures your deposits up to $100,000 per person.

The Ohio Credit Union League is the state trade association for Ohio credit unions. Its mission is to foster the success of credit unions and the credit union philosophy of People Helping People in Ohio. Nearly 600 credit unions are affiliated with the League through 16 regional chapters. Credit unions affiliated with The Ohio Credit Union League also are members of the Credit Union National Association, or CUNA. The Ohio Credit Union League does not offer financial services to the public. The Ohio Credit Union League supports the state's credit unions with operational and regulatory information, training opportunities, legislative representation, and public relations, among other duties.

The alliance was formed to provide credit unions the ability to offer their members access to surcharge-free ATM terminals — especially when traveling. Members of participating financial institutions can look for the blue and white Alliance One logo on ATMs, or use this site to locate a convenient selective - surcharging ATM nearby.
Please note, network (i.e., Jeanie, Cirrus, NYCE, Star, PLUS, etc.) surcharges still apply if using an out-of-network ATM. Look at your ATM/Debit card for applicable network compatibility.
